Conference Booking; Injecting humour to the workplace is genius and a great staff motivator.Looking for good, clean fun? I have been going to my local comedy evening for some time. The evening is very well organised by Helen Tomblin and I was so impressed by the acts, I asked Helen if she could provide somebody for a staff conference I was running. Having a comedian to a staff event is always a gamble, but Helen suggested 'Barbara Nice' and she went down a storm! I told Helen the key themes of the day and then Barbara drew these together with a good
deal of humour - I can highly recommend finishing an event with a high like this - never had so many positive staff comments, makes a change to read evaluation forms where you can almost hear the laughter continuing! I would definitely recommend Helen - she has access to a wide variety of acts, the specific ethos of the Laughing Sole ensures pure talent as acts are not allowed to simply rely on innuendo or bad language. Removing these two things but retaining the humour requires real skill, and as someone who is not opposed to either, I have never laughed so much! Helen herself was always professional and prompt in our discussions and flexible with arrangements. She appreciates the impact humour can have and it's lasting effects.
